About 6mm Creedmoor Ammunition
The 6mm Creedmoor began as a wildcat made by necking down the 6.5 Creedmoor, and Hornady brought it to SAAMI standardization in 2017. Its low recoil lets shooters watch their own impacts, which is why it became a favorite in Precision Rifle Series competition.
105 to 110 grain match bullets are the most popular for long range. Lighter 87 to 90 grain bullets are used for varmints, and 95 to 103 grain hunting bullets work on deer.
High velocity means faster barrel wear than milder cartridges, but for precision shooting few rounds match its combination of accuracy and comfort.
